Schüco Aluminum Window Systems
Multiple system depths and performance levels
The Schüco Aluminum Window System (AWS) is a high performance window system, designed with incredible versatility to meet virtually any architectural design or performance requirement. The AWS series is available in multiple system depths and performance levels. The highest level of performance is achieved with the AWS 90.SI+, which is a Passive House Certified Component.
The basic frame concept of the AWS is an extruded aluminum outer profile joined together with the aluminum inner profile by a polyamide or polythermide extruded thermal break isobar. The standard insulating option is the low conductive isobar. The high insulated options adds a high density, closed cell foam to the isobar and the glazing gaskets are enhanced to provide additional separation from the aluminum frame to the insulating glass unit.

Profile Color Variations Profile Configurations
The inner and outer profile concept allows for the benefit of a window with different color options on the exterior and interior. All AWS systems are available in a wide variety of profile combinations to suit nearly any sight line requirement, this also includes the block system variation, which offers a concealed sash configuration that creates nearly identical sight lines for both, fixed tiles and operable units. The Design Line offers variations on profile contours such as the RL and SL for alternate contours.
The AWS system is available in both inward opening and outward opening options with vent options of side hung casements, top hung awnings or the popular option of a dual action tilt/turn window that has two opening positions, an inward tilting mode for ventilation and an inward opening turning mode for maintenance and cleaning.
The AWS system features a precision multi-point locking hardware system that provides air and water tight compression on the gasket between the vent frame and fixed frame, and the performance enhancing center gasket.
